Through this notice, the Spanish Chess Federation informs users of its Website about its Personal Data Protection Policy, so that they may freely and voluntarily decide whether they wish to provide the Spanish Chess Federation with any personal data that may be requested on the Website.

The Spanish Chess Federation reserves the right to modify its Data Protection Policy at its own discretion, or as a result of legislative, case law, or business practice changes. Existence of data processing and controller
The personal data you provide through this Website will be processed under the responsibility of the Spanish Chess Federation, a Spanish association and owner of the Website www.feda.org, with registered office at Calle Coslada, 10, 4º Interior, 28028 Madrid (Spain), and email ajedrez@feda.org.

Submission of data through this site implies the user’s express and unequivocal consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with this Policy.

Purpose of data collection
The purposes of data collection are:

  • Management of affiliate licenses, registrations, and any other matters derived from the statutory relationship with the Spanish Chess Federation.

  • Management and dissemination of chess competition results, rankings, reports, and statistics.

  • Management, where applicable, of employment relationships.

  • Management, where applicable, of résumés, Human Resources, and staff selection.

  • Management, where applicable, of information requested through the Website.

  • Management, where applicable, of clients and suppliers.

Recipients of the information and data disclosure
Personal data processed will not be shared with third parties, except where necessary for the provision of a service, for compliance with a legal obligation, or where the data subject has given consent.

This Website uses cookies to improve users’ browsing experience. These cookies are small data files stored on the User’s computer, enabling the Spanish Chess Federation to:

  • Obtain information from users who access our private area: the date and time of access, the username, and downloaded files.

  • For users who do not access the private area, statistical information is collected to monitor the use and effectiveness of our Website (which in no case can be linked to an identifiable individual).

Data processing is legitimized under Article 6.1(f) GDPR, based on the existence of a legitimate interest by the Data Controller, derived from a prior relationship with the same purpose pursued in the current processing, which complied with the legally established requirements for lawful processing. Likewise, acceptance of these terms and conditions constitutes express consent to the processing, in accordance with Article 6.1(a) GDPR.

The Data Controller will process data lawfully, fairly, transparently, adequately, pertinently, in a limited, accurate, and updated manner. Accordingly, data security is guaranteed through technical and organizational measures that ensure data integrity and the exercise of data subjects’ rights.

Data subjects are also informed of their right to withdraw, if applicable, consent previously given for processing, through the same channels, and of their right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AGPD) if they believe their rights have been violated. For the exercise of these rights, a copy of the applicant’s ID card must be enclosed with the request.
